The Hahnenkamm is part of the Kitzbuehel ski resort and hosts the annual World Cup alpine ski races, the Hahnenkammrennen since 1931. The most famous slope on the Hahnenkamm is the classic downhill course, the “Streif” (stripe), which is regarded as the most demanding race course on the World Cup circuit.
Jumps up to 80m, steep slopes up to 85% gradient, speeds up to 140 km/hr, 860 meters height difference from the starting gate (1665m) to the finish (805m). A total length of 3312 metres at more than average speed of 103 km / h.
